Epcot Center's Horizons by BSF

Regular price $185.00
Built in 1983, and dreamed up by corporate sponsor GE and the many legendary Disney Imagineers, the Horizons Pavilion was an optimistic look into our collective future. While onboard, you visit far away places like Brava Centauri, dive deep below the oceans to Sea Castle and see what the future holds for our deserts in Mesa Verde. The attraction lost its GE sponsorship in 1993 and was put into seasonal oppression from 1994 to 1999. The building sat abandoned for around a year until it was demolished in 2000 and replaced by Mission: Space, a new space themed pavilion.
Horizon’s sleek, futuristic design was dreamt up by George McGinnis and architect Bill Norton. It was purposely left vague as to what could be inside to spark curiosity. The distinctive lines lead your eyes upwards with the careful slopes all coming together to look like a horizon.
